A Note on Adobe Flash After December 2020

  • For web browsers on computers (Windows, Chromebooks, Macs), Flash Player support ends on December 31, 2020. Browsers on mobile do not support Flash, thus the Learning Upgrade App is used on smartphones and tablets.
  • We are in the process of migrating Learning Upgrade from Flash to a new platform, which will be ready by the December 2020 deadline. This new platform will not require any plug-in: native HTML.
  • Our goal is FULL functionality equivalent to our current program.
  • We are working so that end users will not notice any difference when we transition away from the Flash player.  The primary difference will be that customers will need a recent web browser (up to date), whereas older browsers are okay with our current version.

Technical Requirements

Teachers and students access the Learning Upgrade courses through a web browser on a computer or an app on a tablet or phone. There is no software to install. Teachers create a username and password to log into the learningupgrade.com web site, and then provide access to each enrolled student with a username and password. Students can then sign in to complete lessons using a web browser on a computer or an app on a tablet or phone.

The requirements for each platform are shown below. All platforms require a bandwidth of about 80kbs per connected student. The best way to test compatibility is to play our DEMO on the device.
